Training & Workshops
Voice and Movement
Students learn the fundamentals for the work of Rodenburg, Linklater, Chekhov, and Laban to build a foundation on which they can create character. Elizabeth studied under Patsy Rodenburg during her time at the Royal National Theatre in London, England.
Classical Acting
Students utilize classical acting techniques to break down texts and make them palpable to themselves as actors in a modern world.
Versatile and passionate teaching artist who works with the individual(s) to find their unique style. Elizabeth grew up along the Mississippi River in Minnesota. She studied Opera at St. Olaf College and sang and toured with the St. Olaf Choir. At Roosevelt University during her MFA Conservatory program she studied Acting styles, Communications, Performance, Mask, Voice and Movement for the Actor, and Asian Theatre, and Classical Theatre in the United States and London, England before returning to Chicago where she worked as a professional actress and singer for years. She worked with Broadway Directors and Tony award winning actors. She has won major artistic grants, served on grant writing committees, she is a playwright and accomplished legit singer.
The study of human nature has always been a passion of hers. Collaborative works and developing the student's range through rigorous conservatory style teaching is what Elizabeth excels at doing.
